Apparently, I have taken quite a hiatus from the blogging world, and may continue to in favour of the much faster/easier world of Instagram. For the moment, though, I thought I would share with you one of my favourite sessions from 2021.

Natalie and I met a few years ago at church and bonded over our roles on the worship team at church, both being pianists (and her also a violinist). We also share a mutual love and appreciation of beauty and are like-minded in our creative bents, with her primary art medium being hair. When I first heard of Daniel, I was so overjoyed for her that she had met her person. There is something so faith-building for me each time that miracle occurs – that somehow, out of all the people in the world, the same one that a person loves, loves them in return. I had also been praying for her and her future spouse since I met her, so definitely felt invested in the relationship!

The day Natalie asked if I could take some photos of them during one of Dan’s short visits from Colorado, I jumped at the chance to get to meet this man and spend some quality time with him. A drive along the Big Sur coast, a little hiking and beach exploring later, and we were fast friends. With his passion for the Lord, his love and exceptional talent for all things music, and background in photography, he immediately felt like a long-lost big teddy bear of a little brother to me. I am thrilled that the two of them decided to make their home here in Monterey and in March will become Mr.+Mrs.!!!
