My newest “thing”, as of yesterday, is the concept of layering textures on photos to create a different look, or enhance a look that I’m already striving for.   I just tried one from http://jessicadrossintextures.blogspot.com, and am really happy with the effect it produced with a photo I already loved to begin with.  This was one of my favorite photos from the Afternoon in the Sun session.   Here is it with the texture as a “soft light” layer (for those of you Photoshop users)

This is with the texture as an “overlay” layer – you’ll notice that this version is a little more punchy.
